Keto Veg Masala Idli


Idlis can be had in different styles. And one of them is the Masala Idli. And this is one of the Snack ones misses on Keto diet. So now on, make double the quantity of Idlies and save some pieces for the next meal or as a snack and enjoy.

Ingredients 
Idli 4 - 8 pieces (idli Video Recipe link visit: https://youtu.be/kQ8ahqt7w5Y )
Green chillies 5 - 6 pieces
Mustard seeds 1tsp
Curry leaves 6 - 7 pieces
Sesame seeds 1 tsp
Asafoetida 1/2 tsp
Red Chilli powder 1tsp or more according to taste
Salt to taste
Oil 2 - 3 tbsp

Method 

  • In a bowl slice the Idlis into 4 pieces. 
  • Sprinkle salt and red chilli powder. 
  • Slice the green chillies lengthwise and cut it from the middle too. 
  • Heat a kadai or round pan. 
  • When hot add oil, then add the green chillies. 
  • Saute till crisp., take it out in a small plate and sprinkle salt over it and keep aside. 
  • Now to the same pan, add more oil and heat it. 
  • Then add mustard seeds, when it splutters add curry leaves. 
  • Then add sesame seeds and Asafoetida. 
  • Then add the sliced Idlis and Saute on medium flame till golden crisp about 5 - 8 mins. 
  • Transfer to a serving plate and serve hot with green chillies.
