Keto Pulissery | kerala Veg Curry

Pulissery is a famous but yet very simple Kerala vegetarian dish. It's basically made of curd and is very flavourful. It is a Sadya dish and one of the special recipe made in Onam. Enjoy this with Cauli-rice or as I do with a keto roti/tortilla.


Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 10 minutes
Serves: 4

Ingredients
Step 1
Cucumber 200g
Water 1 cup
Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
Red chili powder 1/2 tsp
Salt 1/2 tsp
Black pepper powder 1/2 tsp
Green chili 1 sliced from the middle
Step2
Coconut pieces without skin
Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
Green chilies 2
For Tempering
Coconut oil 2 tbsp
Mustard seeds 1/2 tsp
Fenugreek seeds 14 tsp
Red chili dry 2
Green curry leaves 7-8 pieces

Method

Step 1
  • Cut the cucumber into small cubes after removing the skin and the juicy middle portion too.
  • Heat a pan and add the cucumber and all the other ingredients of step 1.
  • Cover and cook until the cucumbers become tender. 


Step 2
  • In the grinder jar of the mixer add the chopped coconut without the skin.
  • Add the cumin seeds and green chilies.  Churn it, till it becomes fine.
  • Add hung curd and water and again churn till it becomes a fine paste.
  • Add the grounded paste to the cooked cucumber pan and stir and cook on slow flame.
  • Do not boil, just simmer for 2-3 minutes.

Tempering
  • Heat a tempering pan or small pan. Add oil to it, add the ingredients one by one.
  • Pour it over the Pulisseri
  • Serve hot with cauli-rice or roti/tortillas.
  • Enjoy!!!
