The simple goodness of some comfort food is unmissable. Created this recipe just to satisfy the longing of that food which we have grown eating. Thus this recipe was BORN. Easy, very simple to cook and also not to pinch the pocket too. Enjoy!!!
Preparation time: 10 mins Cooking Time: 10-15 mins Serves: Ingredients Step 1 Ghee/vegan butter 1 tbsp Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp Caulirice 150g Salt 1/2 tsp
Step 2 Garden cress/aliv seeds 3 tbsp Salt 1/2 tsp Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp Asafoetida 1/2 tsp Tomato puree 1/4 cup Ghee/Vegan butter 3 tsp
Method
Step 1
Heat a nonstick pan.
Add ghee to it. Then add the cumin seeds.
Add the cauli-rice.
Saute it
Add salt and saute it.
Add water about 1/4 cup and cover and cook on medium flame until tender.
Step 2
Soak the garden cress seed in1/2 cup water for at least 8 hrs to overnight.
Now heat a pressure pan. Drop the soaked alive seeds.
Add salt, ginger garlic paste, asafoetida powder, tomato puree and ghee.
Cover and cook for 3 whistles.
After 3 whistles.
Let it rest.
Open the pan.
Again let it boil for 10 min.
It's done.
Serve hot with the steamed cauli-rice and some dollops of fresh cream.
