2 Ingredients = 4 Snacks!! Quick & Easy




These are my favourite quickies. Whenever guests come without notice, or when you want a quickie breakfast or easy starters. It is one of the quickest, easiest and tastiest snacks, which can be made in 4 different styles. And the most important, it is NON-FRIED. 
    The 2 main ingredients are Bread and Boiled Potatoes. So let me explain to you how to do it.

BREAD IDLI

Ingredients 
Bread slices cut into roundels 4
Medium boiled mashed potatoes 2
green chilli finely chopped 1
salt to taste

Method
  • In a bowl mix the grated potatoes with green chillies and salt as per taste.
  • Now divide the potato mix into four parts.
  • Apply each potato mix to each bread slice, covering one side of the slice.
  • Now Heat a nonstick pan and drizzle oil on it.
  • Place the potato side on the pan, as such the bread slice can be seen from the top.
  • Now cover the pan with the lid.
  • Let it cook for 5 mins on a slow flame.
  • Transfer on a serving plate, as such the bread slice can be seen.
  • Serve it with coconut or green chutney.

BREAD  DHOKLA 

Ingredients 
Same Ingredients as of bread Idli and in addition to that mustard seed, curry leaves and turmeric powder.
Method 
  • In a bowl mix the grated potatoes with green chillies and salt as per taste.
  • Now divide the potato mix into four parts.
  • Apply each potato mix to each bread slice, covering one side of the slice.
  • Now heat a nonstick pan and drizzle oil on it.
  • Now put a tsp of mustard seeds over the oil, some curry leaves and turmeric powder in such a way that when you place the bread slices, the potato part covers the seeds curry leaves.and the turmeric powder.
  • Now let it cook on medium flame for 5 mins.
  • Now toss the other side and let the bread also get toasted.
  • Serve with green chutney.

 SESAME TOAST
Ingredients 
Same Ingredients as of bread Idli and in addition to that sesame seeds about 3 tbsp
Method
  • In a bowl mix the grated potatoes with green chillies and salt as per taste.
  • Now divide the potato mix into four parts.
  • Apply each potato mix to each bread slice, covering one side of the slice.
  • Now coat the potato side with sesame seeds.
  • Now Heat a nonstick pan and drizzle oil on it.
  • Place the potato side on the pan, as such the bread slice can be seen from the top.
  • Now let the sesame side gets roasted to golden colour. 
  • Now toss the other side and let the bread also get toasted. 
  • Let it cook for 2-3 mins on a slow flame until the slice gets toasted. 
  • Serve hot on a plate facing the sesame side up with green chutney and tomato sauce. 

GOLD COIN

Ingredients
Same Ingredients as of Bread Idli and in addition to that
Finely  chopped carrot 1tbsp
Finely chopped Capsicum 1 tbsp
Finely chopped onions 1 tbsp
Sechwan sauce 1 tbsp
Crushed Cornflakes 3 tbsp
Method

  • In a bowl mix the grated potatoes with green chillies and salt as per taste.
  • Now add the finely cut vegetables and schezwan sauce. Mix it properly. 
  • Now divide the potato mix into four parts.
  • Apply each potato mix to each bread slice, covering one side of the slice.
  • Now coat the potato side with crushed Cornflakes.
  • Now Heat a nonstick pan and drizzle oil on it.
  • Place the potato side on the pan, as such the bread slice can be seen from the top. 
  • Roast the cornflakes side till golden and crispy. 
  • Now toss the other side and let the bread also get toasted.
  • Let it cook for 2-3 mins on a slow flame until the slices get toasted.
  • Serve hot on a plate facing the side up with green chilli sauce and tomato sauce.
