Cherry Clafoutis | French Dessert

The Season of Beautiful delicious cherries has flooded the market. I was waiting for the cherry season, to make this  French dessert Cherry Clafoutis, which is prepared basically with eggs. But this one is EGGLESS. It's a very easy and tasty dish. And the look of the dish is just killing. Enjoy!!!


Preparation time: 15 mins
Baking time: 20 mins
Serves:  8

Ingredients
Layer 1
Cherries potted 1/2 cup
Butter 5 g

Layer 2
Semolina 1/2 cup
Sugar 1/4 cup
Baking powder 1&1/2 tsp
Milk 1/2 cup
Butter 50g
Vanilla essence 1/2 tsp

Method
Layer 1
  • Grease a baking dish with butter.
  • Arrange the cherries at the base of the baking dish covering the base fully.
  • Keep it aside.

Layer 2
  • Now take a mixing bowl and mix all the ingredients of layer 2 until it forms a smooth mixture.

Finale
  • Drop the layer 2 slowly on top of the layer 1 submerging the cherries.
  • Bake at 200°c for 20-25 minutes
  • Take it out and let it rest.
  • Divide into pieces and serve.
  • Enjoy.
