Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Banana Bars | Healthy Breakfast/Dessert

These bars are simply awesome with all-natural sugars, it is healthy and the best thing is that it can be eaten as breakfast as baked pancakes with honey or maple syrup or as a dessert with ice cream. Recipe inspired by @cleanfoodcrush with my twist to it. Enjoy!!!

Preparation time: 15 mins
Cooking time: 20-25mins
Serves: 9 pieces of bars

Ingredients
Step1
Flaxseed flour 1 tbsp
Water 2 tbsp

Step2
Oatmeal 1 & 1/3 cup
Baking powder 1 tsp
Cinamon powder 1/2 tsp
Nutmeg powder 1/8 tsp
Salt a pinch

Step 3
Bananas 3 medium
Oil 3 tbsp
Vanilla extract  1/2 tsp
Honey 1/4 cup

Finale
Chocolate chops 1/4 cup
Finale Banana slices a few pieces.

Method

  • Preheat the oven to 180°c
Step1
  • Mix the flaxseed flour and water and keep it aside.
Step2
  • In a big mixing bowl add all the dry ingredients and give it a thorough mix
Step 3
  • In another big mixing bowl add in all the wet ingredients and give it a proper mix.
Finale
  • Mix the flax eggs in the wet ingredient bowl.
  • then add the chocolate chips keeping aside a tbsp of it for decoration.
  • Then slowly drop the dry ingredient mix from the dry ingredient bowl and mix it thoroughly.
  • Put a parchment sheet or grease a large pan and drop the batter into it.
  • Flatten and spread it out evenly.
  • Decorate it with the sliced bananas and the leftover choco chips.
  • Bake at 180c for 20-25 minutes.
  • Take it out from the oven and check with the toothpick 
  • If it comes clean let it cool, otherwise, bake for another 5-7 minutes.
  • Slice it into the desired shape of rectangles or squares. 
  • Enjoy!!!
