Baking time: 40 mins
Serves: 8
Ingredients
Step 1
All-purpose flour/maida 1 &/2 cup
Baking powder 1 tsp
Baking soda 1/2 tsp
Fennel seeds 1 tsp
Sugar powdered 1/2 cup
Step 2
Beetel leaves 4-5 pieces
Milk 1 cup
Green color optional 3-4 drops
Oil 1/3 cup
Gulkand/ rose petal jam 1 tbsp
Curd 1/2 cup
Finale
Paan mix ()
All-purpose flour 2 tbsp
Pistachios finely chopped 1 tbsp
Gulkand/rose petal jam 1 tbsp
Method
Preheat the oven to 180c
Step 1
In a big mixing bowl put all the dry ingredients and give a magic mix.
Step 2
In a mixer jar, tear the betel leaves and churn it with little milk to make a puree out of it.
Now take this puree in a big mixing bowl
Add little green colouring you like in the remaining milk and pour in the bowl.
Add all the other ingredients and give it a magic mix.
Finale
Mix the dry ingredient mix into the wet ingredient bowl and give a magic mix.
Now grease a baking round dish with oil and dust it with the flour.
Now add half the batter and sprinkle the paan mixture.
Again drop the remaining batter and spread it out.
Now sprinkle the chopped pistachios and the gulkand or rose petal jam.
Bake at 180c for 35-40 mins
Take it out and do the toothpick test.
Let it rest for 15 minutes.
Slice and enjoy!!!
