Spinach & Feta Greek Parcels

By now everyone knows me, that I love pickup foods or finger foods as they are called. And this one is perfect in taste. The feta cheese which has a delectable flavour will take your tastebuds to a new level. And guess what they are healthy too. Enjoy!!!





Preparation Time: 20 mins

Proofing time: 2 hours 30 mins in all

Cooking Time: 12- 15 mins

Serves: 8 pieces


Ingredients

Step 1
Sugar 1/2 tbsp 
Yeast 1.5 tsp

Step 2
Wheat flour 2 cups 
Salt 1 tsp
Oil 2 tbsp

Step 3
Mayonnaise 8 tsp
Feta cheese 100g
Spinach 8 tbsp
Milk 1/4 cup

Method
Step 1
  • In a small bowl add warm water and sugar mix it. Add yeast to it.
  • And let it sits for 10 mins.
  •  It will bubble up and form a cloud.
Step 2
  • In a big mixing bowl add the wheat flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture from step 1.
  • Mix it thoroughly. 
  • Now make a soft dough with extra water.
  • Keep a good knead to the dough, stretching out with your palm on an oil greased mat.
  • Knead it for at least 5 mins doing the stretching work to the dough. 
  • Now tuck it and make a ball. Grease and store in a covered bowl for proofing.
  • Proof for 2 hours.
Step 3
  • After 2 hours Proofing again tuck the dough.
  • And knead it.
  • Divide it into 2 portions.
  • Roll out 1 portion and slice it as shown into 4.
  • Now take 1 sliced portion and apply mayonnaise in the middle.
  • Put some spinach and feta pieces and seal to firm a parcel with the help of water.
  • Similarly, make all the parcels 
  • Again cover the parcels with cling foil.
  • And let it again rest for 30 mins.
  • After 30 mins preheat the oven to 200°c
  • Now remove the cling baking tray.
  • Apply milk to the top portion of the parcel.
  • Bake it for 12-15 mins until the crust becomes golden. 
  • Take it out. One can bake even in the Airfryer for 10-15 mins.
  • Serve hot 
  • Enjoy!!!
