Keto Dal Pakwan | Festival Special

 Dal Pakwan is a very famous Sindhi cuisine. As the name suggests Pakwan which means something Special cooked, is true to its name. The keto version us simply awesome and quite authentic in taste too. This is such a delicious recipe, and so very mouthwatering too. A mesmerizing dish which can be eaten as a breakfast or as a main meal and also as a chaat. So make this beautiful Sindhi keto dal pakwan and relish the moods of Festivity. Enjoy!!!

Preparation time: 20 minutes
Cooking time: 10 minutes
Baking time: 10-15 minutes/Microwave time: 2 mins/batch

Ingredient
For Keto Dal
In the Order
Ghee 2 tsp
Cumin seeds 1 tsp
Green chillies finely chopped 1 tsp
Ginger finely chopped 1 tsp
Onion finely chopped 40g
Tomato puree 1 tsp
Almond flour granulated 1/2 cup
Peanuts raw  granulated 1/3 cup
Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
Red chilli powder 1/2 tsp
Coriander powder 1/2 tsp
Garam masala/allspice 1/2 tsp
Cumin powder 1/2 tsp
Salt 3/4 tsp
Water 2 cups

For Keto Pakwan
Almond flour 1 cup
Flaxseed flour 1/4 cup
Salt 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
Sesame seeds 1 tsp
Baking soda 1/4tsp
Oil 1 tbsp
Water 2-3 tbsp

Finale
Onion chopped
Green coriander  finely chopped
Cumin powder
Pink salt
Red chilli powder


Method
For the Keto Dal
Heat a pressure cooker
Add ingredients one by one sauteing in between.
Pressure cook for 1 whistle.
After it cools down, add lemon juice and stevia 1 tsp.
Cook for the desired consistency, it should be a bit thick.

For the Keto Pakwan
Preheat the oven to 180°c
Mix all the dry ingredients  thoroughly in a big bowl.
Then with the help of warm water knead a soft dough.
Cover and keep aside for 5-7 mins.
Mow take small portions in between 2 parchment sheets and roll out into roundel.
With the help of a round cutter or bowl, cut it into roundel and put it on a baking tray.
Make all the roundel and bake for 10-15 minutes until crispy.
Alternately one can microwave it even for 2-2.5 minutes.

Finale
On a plate put the Pakwan piece.
Layer it with a spoonful of dal.
Sprinkle some onions and coriander leaves.
Sprinkle the spices.
Enjoy!!!
