Fragrant,
moist, soft and fluffy, melt in the mouth are few words which can be used for
this lovely Orange upside-down cake. This cake is totally a hit in any
menu. And needs no external texture to
beautify the taste or look. The perfect dessert. Enjoy!!!

Ingredients
Dry ingredients
All
purpose flour/maida 1 & 3/4 cup
Baking
powder 2 tsp
Salt a
pinch
Sugar
powder 1 cup
Wet ingredients
Curd 1
cup
Vanilla
essence 1 tsp
Orange
peels sliced and finely chopped
Oil 1/3
cup
Finale
Butter 1
tsp
Sugar
powder 2 tbsp
Oranges 2
sliced horizontally into 3-4 parts
Method
- Preheat the oven to 180°c
Dry ingredients
- In a mixing bowl mix all the dry ingredients
Wet ingredients
- In another bowl mix all the wet ingredients.
- Take the orange peel and chop it finely
- Add that too even in the wet mix.
Finale
- Now add the wet ingredients mix to the dry ingredients and mix it thoroughly.
- Now grease a baking dish with butter.
- Sprinkle the sugar powder over it
- Shake the dish so that the greased butter is completely covered with the sugar powder.
- Now arrange the oranges sliced roundel as shown in the video
- Drop the batter into it.
- Bake at 180c for 25 mins and at 200c for 15 mins
- Take it out and do the toothpick test. If it comes out clean it's done, otherwise, bake for another 10 mins at 180c
- Let the cake rest.
- Now place a plate over it and toss and turn the cake. Such as the orange roundel can be seen on top of the cake.
- Slice into pieces.
- Enjoy!!!
