4 Keto Halwas to Enjoy While at Home!

This period when you are staying at home, the best way to not feel left out is to rejuvenate your surroundings with lovely smells and lovely desserts, too. So make these any one or all the 4 sweets to keep your mood in high spirits, so that you can fight any circumstances with flying colors. Make any of these halwas which can be easily frozen for 1-2 months. Enjoy!!!


#1 Keto Bottelgourd Halwa
Preparation time: 10 mins
Cooking time:  20 mins
Serves: 2

Ingredients
Bottlegourd finely grated 250g
Cream 200g
Sweetener Stevia powder 1/2 cup
Cardamom powder 1 tsp
Ghee/ Clarified Butter 2 tbsp
Almonds 3 finely chopped
Dried rose petals a few

Method
  • Squeeze out the water from the grated bottle gourd.
  • Heat a pan, add ghee to it.
  • Add the squeezed bottle gourd to it. Saute for 2-3 mins
  • Add cream to it. Saute again.
  • Saute it for at least 5-7 mins, until one can see ghee seeping out from the sides.
  • Then add stevia or your choice of sweetener. add cardamom powder to it. Saute until everything mixes up properly.
  • Take it out in a serving bowl and decorate with almonds and rose petals.

#2 Keto Aloo ka Halwa
Preparation time:10 minutes
Cooking time: 20 minutes
Serves: 3

Ingredients
Cauliflower florets 250g
Ghee/Clarified butter /Vegan butter 1/4 cup
Stevia sweetener 1/2cup
Saffron strings 5-6
Cardamom powder 1/2 tsp
Almond Slivers 10g

Method
  • Boil the cauliflower florets in a pan until soft.
  • Remove the water and let it stand until all the water drains out.
  • Puree the boiled florets in a mixer jar.
  • Heat a nonstick pan
  • Add ghee to it.
  • Add all the pureed florets.
  • Saute a bit.
  • Steep the saffron strings in 1 tbsp lukewarm water.
  • Saute the Pureed florets till ghee comes out.
  •  Then add stevia or any sweetener of your choice
  • Saute until the sweetener caramelizes and ghee seeps out from the cooked paste.
  • then add the almond slivers, saffron water and cardamom powder one by one, and saute it again.
  • Serve hot sprinkling almond slivers.

#3 Keto Sweet Pongal
Preparation Time: 20 mins
Cooking Time: 20 mins
Serves: 4

Ingredients
Step 1
 Ghee 1 tsp
Almonds chopped 10g
Dry coconut flakes 15g
Cardamom powder 1 tsp

Step 2
Caulirice 150g
Cottage cheese/paneer crumbled 100g
Ghee 2 tbsp
Erythritol sugarfree 3/4 cup
Fresh cream 100g
Edible camphor a pinch (optional)
Fresh black pepper powder 1 pinch (optional)

Method
Step 1
  • In a pan Add 1 tsp Ghee and let it melt.
  • Then add the chopped almonds and saute it until it becomes crisp.
  • Now add the dry coconut flakes to it. Saute for a few seconds.
  • Then add the cardamom powder and mix it thoroughly.
  • Keep it aside. 
Step 2
  • In another nonstick pan Add ghee to it, let it melt.
  • Then add the cauli-rice and saute it.
  • Then add water to it.
  • Mix it and cover and let it cook until it becomes tender.
  • Then add cottage cheese to it.
  • Saute it.
  • Then cream to it
  • Saute again.
  • Then add erythritol and mix it thoroughly.
  • Let it cook until the mixture dries up.
  • Then add the prepared garnishing of step 1, keeping a bit aside for topping.
  • Mix it thoroughly.
  • Shut the stove
  • Then add a pinch of freshly ground black pepper powder over and saute. (Optional)
  • Add Edible camphor (optional). I did not have so I could not add.
  • Take it out in a bowl and garnish it with the leftover toppings.

#4 Keto Almond Halwa | Keto Badam Halwa
Preparation time: 5 mins
Cooking time: 10 mins
Serves: 4

Ingredients 
Almond flour 1 cup
Water 1 cup
Ghee/Vegan butter 1 tbsp
Stevia powder 1/3 cup
Cardamom powder 1/ 2 Tsp
Almond slivers 2 Tsp

Method
  • Put water to boil in a saucepan. 
  • Heat a nonstick pan, then add ghee and let it warm.
  • Then add the almond flour.
  • Saute it in medium heat until it becomes a bit brown.
  • It takes about 5 mins.
  • Now when the flour turns brown and leaves ghee from the sides, slowly add the boiling water.
  • Be careful as it sputters.
  • Add ground cardamom powder about 1/2 tsp for good flavor.
  • Then Saute till the water dries up, and leaves ghee. 
  • Then add stevia,
  • Mix it thoroughly.
  • Switch off the stove.
  • And it's ready
  • Take it out in a serving bowl and decorate it with almond slivers.
