The name itself is so resonating that one get engulfs with the taste of it. It is one dish that every Indian relish to the core. And if you ask any Indian whatever the age they miss their mom's aloo ka parantha the most. And here comes an easy way of making it, which anybody can cook, of course, one can't get the flavours of moms magic, but nevertheless it guaranteed to fulfil the desire to have it in a super easiest way. Ingredients
Step 1
Potatoes peeled medium 2
Step 2
Ginger finely chopped 1 tsp
Green chillies finely chopped 1 tbsp
Coriander leaves finely chopped 1 tbsp
Onion medium finely chopped 1
Salt 1 tsp
Red chilli powder 1/2 tsp
Carom seeds 1/2 tsp
Mango powder 1/2 tsp
Wheat flour 1 cup
Water 1/2 & 1/4 cup
oil 1 tbsp
Step 3
baking soda 1/2 tsp
Step 4
Ghee 2 tbsp
Pickle for serving
Curd for serving
Yellow/white butter for serving
Method
Step 1
- Chop the potatoes in a food processor or chopper or grate it finely through a grater.
Step 2
- Take out the mixture and add all the ingredients except baking soda & give ut a magic mix.
- The batter will be like a semi-formal dough.
Step 3
- Add baking soda to it and give a magic mix.
Step 4
- Heat a nonstick griddle
- Grease with ghee or oil.
- Drop ladleful of batter over it.
- One can drop 2-3 ladleful separately depending upon the griddle size.
- Spread it out into roundels.
- Sprinkle some ghee
- Cook for 3-4 mins.
- Flip and cook again for 3-4 mins.
- Apply little ghee and flip and cook for 30 secs from both the sides.
- Take it out on a plate
- Serve hot with Greek yoghurt, some pickles and a dollop of butter
- Enjoy!!!
